I need to find out if anyone in this list has any information about any Smalley's who lived in this county during the 1820's and/or 1830's. I am trying to find a record of my gggrandfather who I just found out was born in McDowell, Cty., NC in 1822. His name was James Camnel Smalley and he migrated to Georgia as a young man I guess. I need to know who his parents were. We are "stumped" at his generation. (He married Nancy Elizabeth Witherspoon who was born in GA). Thanks for any help anyone can give!
