I would like to know what area, what city is close to this Crooked Run Twp. I am from Lincoln County and am familiar with parts of McDowell. Christian Hoyle b. 1822 died sometime before 1900, married Mary Cook from Cleveland County, NC. Both were originally from Cleveland I believe. They had 2 children that lived according to the Census 1900. Their names were Burton Hoyle who married a Sarah, and we think a Louise. Does anyone know anything about this family at all? I am working on the Cook and Hoyle lines and need to find them. If you are a descendant I most certainly would like to find you. Dianne Sain, Vale, NC
