I have been at a stand still for about six months. Hope to go to Marion within the next month to see what I can find. I will let u know then. I am sure our Hawkins would be related since they are from McDowell County but it is hard to find info on them. Let me know if u find anything and I will do the same. My gf was Charlie Roscoe Hawkins b.1898 and married to Eva Jane Helms. Hope this helps a little.
