Hey Folks -- My offer to do look-ups in the Macon County Heritage Book still stands. However, I have a request. Several people have written and just asked me to look up "John Doe" -- no other information. Please give me ALL OF THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE, even if it's just approximate dates. In many cases, even if a family isn't written up, there will be mentions in other family write-ups. I'm perfectly willing to sift through these, but it's time-consuming and I need all of the information I can get to help determine what information might be valuable to you. For example -- if your John Doe lived about 1800-1850, then I won't bother transcribing information about John Doe's who don't fit the time frame. Also, a plug of my own -- the Macon County families that I'm researching include Kimsey, Russel/Russell, Strain, Reed and Cathey. Would love to hear from anyone with information on this crew.
