Bonnie, I looked in the Swain Co.,NC Heritage Book for your Ashe. It says : Audi Ash b. 1832. No further record. Marcus L. Ash b. abt. 1838 m. E. Stiles, b. abt 1840, d/o Charles and Kisie McConnell Stiles Both were the children of Isaac Ashe b. abt. 1786, VA. d. 1863 Jackson Co.,NC and Catherine. Isaac was the son of Jesse Ash b. 1745, VA.
