Kaye >Presley Kaye: The 1840 census for Macon Co., NC is online at the following URL: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/census/nc/macon/1840/ This includes an index for the census. I transcribed it myself, and can tell you that it was taken directly from microfilm (which is pretty much as close as anyone gets to the originals anymore). Dawn W. Can anyone help locate her death certificate or obit in Macon Co NC after 1912. Would love to find her death date. I believe the book Survey of 17 Macon Co Cemeteries by DAR has her buried in Old First Baptist but it doesn't give a death date. Also will pay for copies for 1910 Macon Co Census that contains her and her husband D.A. "Decatur" MYERS. Thanks. Donna
