I assume since he/she is posting to Lincoln County, NC, that he/she believes Mr. Huss was originally from the area. littletarbie - since you know quite about the murder, please give us the approximate age of the victim. Do you know if he had a middle name? Was he indeed from Lincoln County, NC, or one of our surrounding areas? We genealogists are always willing to help, but every little scrap of knowledge about the person's family or background can be of great value. For instance, I did a quick search of the Newspaper Archives and came up with another Ronald Huss who was killed in 1973 in NC. A quick search of the birth index comes up with several of them born in Lincoln County, so more information is in order. It would appear you may have it. littletarbie please understand also that any information you would receive on Ronald Huss' family will probably be thru direct contact as they are living individuals & we don't like to post personal info for the world to see. I too lost a cousin to murder a few years ago and know the helplessness of watching these events take place in the courts. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
