I have only a few bits of Murphy information but have not pursued this family much since they are not a direct line for me. If they followed the path that most Scots-Irish did they would have been Presbyterian by faith. I say Scots-Irish because many of those who settled on the Ulster Plantations of Northern Ireland had originally been living in Scotland and were removed to Irelant to start the flax plantations.
