Sam is a Civil War Re-enactor who has performed throughout North and South Carolina and other states. He has also appeared in several movies. Also, Rusty Patterson will be bringing a new group of old photos. He needs help in identifying people. Everyone interested in local and family history is welcome to join Broad River members on Sunday, December 12, 2004 at 3 p.m. You are invited to dress in Civil War attire or another period or just dress casual! Bring a pick up food, as this is a Christmas Social! Bring a friend! Bring yourself! First five people to arrive will receive an extra ticket for the door prize drawing. The meeting will be in the Dining Area of the Neal Senior Center on H.T. Harris Drive, Shelby, which is just off of Hwy 18 near Ross Grove Baptist Church and Ingles, north of the city limits. The meeting will be held in the Performing Arts Area at the rear of the Neal Senior Center. Cleveland County NC Heritage Books, Volume II will be available after the meeting.
