I am in the process of sending for this record, however, it has shown up in several of my searches. This John Murphy is my great-great grandfather - I am from his marriage to Lucy Hughes. I too am seeking any information on this John Murphy, his family, etc - as well as the other Murphys in Lincoln Co. Owen Murphy, Will dated December 1775, mentions wife Abigail, sons James & William, and grandson John. I am very intense on locating these Murphys, as I do wonder if this John, grandson of Owen, is the same John who married Hannah McNamare. I am considering a trip to Lincoln Co. in the Spring.
