Thomas Jefferson's parents were Bartholomew Thompson b. May 16, 1759 d. August 17, 1838 and Mary Martha Guthrie Mayberry b. 1763 d. unknown but was still living in 1851 at age 88, married on March 4, 1785. I'm just a casual observer but was interested in a discrepancy. The Bynum Marriage book has a different date for Bartholmew/Bat. This is their entry: "Thompson, Bat; Mayberry, Mary; Moses Abernathy; 11 Aug 1798" Which is correct? jeff
