Daniel G. (Gamewell) Thompson married Mary E. Asbury on Dec. 18, 1866. Daniel's parents were Thomas Jefferson Thompson b. May 2, 1806 d. June 13, 1894 and Frances W. Shelton (his first wife) b. May 25, 1804 or 1809 d. July 21, 1852. Thomas Jefferson's parents were Bartholomew Thompson b. May 16, 1759 d. August 17, 1838 and Mary Martha Guthrie Mayberry b. 1763 d. unknown but was still living in 1851 at age 88, married on March 4, 1785.
