Surnames: Taylor, Keener Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iVB.2ACI/1487.3 Message Board Post: I am absolutely at a dead end in an effort to find my Lincoln Co Taylor ancestors. I believe that my gggrandfather Andrew Calvin "Calvin" Taylor, was born in Lincoln County between 1822 and 1825. (Noted on 1860 census of Lincoln Co, NC) He married Catherine Keener in the 1850s and was mentioned in her father (Adam Keener) will as an heir "Calvin Taylor and wife Catherine." They moved to Yancey Co., NC in the 1870s where they lived until they died. I only have his name to go on and so I would really appreciate any assistance I can receive. He may have been a widower when he married Catherine.
