I just found something very important: On 1800 Lincoln Co. census, Joseph Abernathy is showing 2 sons, age 0-10. (I was able to get a good image,thanks to joining Ancestry.com.) I had not seen this before, and this matches perfectly with the David and Joseph, age 26-45 on 1820 Giles Co., TN census! Now I'm thinking that Jos. may actually be the father of the David in HH of David and Christine, on the 1818 Maury Co. tax list, particularly since this family does not claim him, and the fact that the name: Joseph repeats so often in my Abernathy line. Do you have any information on Joseph's descendants? Any help is greatly appreciated. OCF
