I'm not sure, and I have to be honest about that, but my instincts tell me that it's a probility. It simply adds up. All the companies are located in Utah for one. That should be a first clue. There was no Generation Network fifteen years ago, when I began my research, but Ancestry.com came out fairly soon after that. "The Generation Network" has suddenly emerged the past year. So which came first? The chicken or the egg? :-) I think it's a given that Ancestry, Family Tree, TGN, and all are owned by LDS. I still have my hat out to eat in the case I'm right. :-) In a message dated 3/11/2008 8:55:48 P.M. I had never considered the startling possibility that the Church of Latter-day Saints owns the corporation The Generation Network (parent company of Ancestry.com). Is there some information available about the LDS ownership of TGN? Brownie, please share your resources for this. It would be very useful to learn more about any connections between the two organizations.
