Any "head starts" would be appreciated. He stated that his father was born in Virginia. Is he related to Daniel Tucker (b.1792) also of Lincoln Co.? William and Nancy's children were Clay,Mary,Julia, and Dora. William is my gg grandfather through Julia who married Socrates Alonzo "Lon" Whitener. Our family branch has the Revolutionary War rifle from the Tucker family passed on by William. But obviously used in the war by his grandfather in (presumably) Virginia. Family stories have it that William Tucker's family once moved farther west (before coming to NC? with his father?)I think it was Missouri or Alabama.
