I have, just this morning, found the maiden names of early women (and sometimes their parents) that might have taken me ages to find. Also thanks so much for nice CSA write-up with William SIDNEY Kids. I had no idea where he was captured - evidently Gettyburg. I cried. He lived to be 92 and my mother dearly loved him. And I have several pieces of his furniture (even some that he made) and his CW pension papers. My research shows that he was sent to a Fort in North Dakota and served in the Union Army for the last year of the war. His tales /letters of the trip back to NC are amazing. Another "thank you" for correcting my Aunt Gertrude's (GERTIE) nickname. She was dignified woman who would not want to be called "Girlie", even in the "afterlife". I know most errors have merely been passed to you by others. As I mentioned ealier, there are other names in the family that are wrong. Even though these is under the category of relatives/info on those buried at Bethel, it would be nice to have it corrected since it is on line now. It affects at least the grave info of :William Sidney Kids, Julia Ann Howard-Kids, Dellinger-Infant son of William W. and "Brenda" T. Kids-Dellinger, and Carl Clifton Whitener. 1- "Brenda" Theodosia Kids-Dellinger -the first name is actually BERNADA 2- J.M. Davis Kids - There is no such person. J.M. Davis is the husband of Mary Jane Kids-Davis, not a child of the Kids-Howard family. 3- "Airley" Kids - Uncle ARY's name (Airy, Airey) might get spelled several ways, but never with and "L" in it. He changed his name to KIDD as an adult, by the way. 4- Sadie EUSTACE Kids ( my grandmother) married a WHITENER, not Whitner. 5- The Kids-Howard union produced no one named Julia Kids Ritchie. That is my grandparents' daughter who married a Ritchie. Her middle name was Kidd - Julia Kidd Whitener-Ritchie, daughter of Eustace Kids and William A. Whitener. Thanks again for ALL that you have done in this great effort. People will be using it long after you are the resident of some fine cemetery. - Julie Cline Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
