Surnames: Hull, Pendleton, Shitle, Rhyne Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iVB.2ACI/1835.1 Message Board Post: I have since discovered that my g-grandfather (Henry) evidently had the first name of "Green" according to both the 1870 and 1880 census records. He was from Lincolnton, Lincoln County, NC, so I imagine he ties in some way to the Major Hull branch of the family. As far as I know, he was an orphan. My grandmother told me he was a bound boy. The 1870 census shows him as living with and working for the Calvin Canipe family. In the same census, a child by the name of Arthur Hull (age 6) is shown as a "bound boy" in another household. I don't know if they are related or not.
