Christian lived in NC until 1827 and came to KY then. He had remarried to Sally Edwards Mauney and they settled in SE Ky., Whitley County. I have info all the way back to 1649 on our line thru Hans Jakob Mauney. In 2000, my wife and I drove to NC to find some of the things I have heard about the Mauney line. We had a great time and we did find the Mauney cemetary alongside the Antioch Methodist Church, just outside of Crouse, NC. There is so much info around this county, I don't know where you live but if you live in NC, go there. The Mauney name there is just like Smith & Jones anywhere else. I have pictures of the cemetery and the Christian Mauney memorial on one of the highways there. Anyway there are tons of information about us. I knew Neal Caskey (thru genealogy sites) and have one of his books. His Mother-in-law, Bonnie Summers Mauney, was the author of the first book I found on the Mauney's (THREE MAUNEY FAMILIES).
