Jacob was son of Hans and Sarah Salome Zimmerman from Switzerland and Catherine was daughter of Hans Deitrich Ramsauer(Rhoda was spouse?) from Austria. The Carpenters and Ramsours were my Ancestors. Since the surnames of their spouses are unknown, their origin is unknown but you can bet they were Germanic.
