Are you saying that the Thomas and Sarah Cline, on all these several Bond County, Illinois census records, are not the same Thomas and Sarah Cline who were married in Lincoln County in 1825?? If not, make it a little simpler for me!? LOL.? Alta -----Original Message----- From: JLLYNN@aol.com To: AltaMDurden@aol.com; dlamel@sw.rr.com Sent: Thu, 14 Feb 2008 1:54 pm Subject: 1860 Bond County, Illinois ? Attached is the 1860 Bond County, Illinois Census record for Thomas Cline. He is listed as being 60 and Sarah is getting younger at 54 but would have been 57, Thomas was deceased in 1870 and Sarah is even younger. There are three Thomas Clines in Ohio in 1840 and many from Ohio and Indiana settled in Illinois when it became a State. A migration from Lincoln County, NC to Indiana occurred between 1810 and 1820. Sarah may have been within that group. The Pilgrims of Lynn Mountain migrated to Indiana during that time. William Pilgrim "returned" the farm that he had obtained from John Lynn. My Great Grandfather was William Pilgrim Lynn and I suspect that he may have been a nephew of William Pilgrim who had married?a daughter of John and Rachel McElroy Lynn. ? ? ?If there was an arbitrary assignment by a Bond County researcher of the Sally Mitchem and Thomas Cline?marriage in NC being applied to the Thomas and Sarah Cline of Bond County?they have wasted countless time of many of the Mitchem researchers!
