To some degree the answer to your question could be dependant upon the dates involved. The census of course will show the names of the children who lived long enough to make it into those records. Not all births were recorded in the early years, most of that will have to come from church records, and sometimes it is difficult to determine what one folks attended. If you can come up with some dates, and a few more details someone will be able to help.
