Johannes next married Susanna Catharin(Catherine) Moyer, one of their children is Elias Bost, my GGGG-grandfather, half-brother of William. William married Catherine Goodhardt, he died 4/29/1811. He is listed in the DAR Patriot Index as performing patriotic service( providing goods or services to the revolutionaries). So far the only Thomas Lankford/Langford I've found in the Index is a LT. out of VA. The listing of men at King's Mountain does not contain a Lankford or Langford. The DAR Index does have a Nathan Lankford, b 1764, died Feb. 1826, married Meron (sp?) Caldwell, he is credited with patriotic service in North Carolina. Nothing on the Sitz or Seitz so far. Dear friends, With the help of Jan Heavner and others, I have attempted to reconstruct the missing cemeteries of Lincoln and Gaston Counties. The pages that have recently been updated are: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nclincol/cemeteries.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncgaston/cemeteries.htm So many people have had a hand in contributing their intellectual efforts toward making the RootsWeb Project page the very best on the web I can't express sufficient appreciation. I can assure all contributors that their efforts are appreciated and, at the same time, are covered by RootsWeb protection and applicable US copyright laws. These statements have been placed on all web pages that I have posted. Those who would like to contribute transcriptions of documents; deeds, court records, road surveys, or any form of documentation that might be helpful to other researchers are encouraged to contact me. I am currently the page host for the following NCGenWeb Project web pages. Catawba County, NC - http://www.rootsweb.com/~nccatawb/ Burke County, NC - http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncburke/ Lincoln County, NC - http://www.rootsweb.com/~nclincol/ Gaston County, NC - http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncgaston/ Cleveland County, NC - http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncclevel/ Any comments or contributions regarding these pages are welcomed. It is not a good idea to forward messages to public mailing lists that include email addresses of the recipients. This is one way the Spammers harvest addresses and make our lives miserable. I hope the Lincoln County Webpage administrator can remove these messages from the archives. Regards, Kathy
