Wil King Memorial Site Ground Breaking Ceremony The Ground Breaking ceremony for the Wil King Memorial Site in the Battle of Kinston Battlefield Park will take place Monday morning at 9:30 April 5. It is located at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Harriet Drive behind King's Restaurant in Kinston. A great deal of planning has gone into making this site happen. For the Lenoir County Battlefield Commission, it is the first visible step the public can see that will be one of many steps to come in making the vision for heritage tourism a reality for Lenoir County.
