    3. Jim, Have you looked in the NC Lenoir/Greene/Dobbs Co. Archives. or on Old Dobbers? My foreign exchange student leaves Saturday. I will begin gathering all my disks and putting the LOVICK's together then. thanks for your patience. Patty ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I am hoping you might have something on John Lovick who died ca. 1800 & who was married to Susannah Caswell. They had two children according to the1800 census. One was Ann W. Lovick who married in her late 30s Rev. Curtis Hooks & lived in Goldsboro and Everittsville. I don't know anything about John Lovick's son. John's brother was William Lovick who lived in Kinston in the early 1800s. I believe John & William Lovick were first cousins of the Richard Caswell children, through the Herritage sisters. Susannah Caswell Lovick, of course, married in 1802 John Gatlin after her first husband's death. Among their children was Richard Caswell Gatlin (1809-1896) career US Army officer and the only Confederate General from Kinston.
