Could any of you possibly tell me where Caswell's Landing is located..it was suppose to be owned by Benjamin Caswell (Brother of Richard)...need to know where the checkpoint actually was...if you could help me with this..I would appreciate it...It is my understanding that a marker is going to placed in the exact spot or close to the spot that it was once located... Jo I learned something by looking it up in Powell's Gazetteer. It was at Hookerton. "Known as Caswell's Landing prior to the Revolution for Benjamin Caswell, brother of Governor Richard Caswell." But the exact spot is not given.
