I was trying to contact Ray Horton who gave me some Peacock family information a year or so ago, but his e-mail address I had is not longer valid. Robert Peacock married Wealthy Howell and later her sister. Moved to Ga. Their son Benjamin married 1st to Penelope Herring. Now I have found another Herring -Peacock connection. A Benjamin Herring married Jincy Peacock in Houston Co., GA 1836. The Penelope Herring was daughter of Joshua Herring and it is believed that Benjamin is also Joshua's son. This Joshua Herring appears to be, according to census and other items found, the son of Michael, Herring Jr. who moved to Robeson Co., NC before 1800. From some source a fellow researcher says he found Michaels wife was a Grantham. They would have been married in Dobbs I assume as he was on the 1790 census there while his father Michael Sr. was on the Wayne Co., 1790 census. Any help on Peacock or Grantham would be very much appreciated. Rose Parks
