Other records also say "Nathan Arendell listed as being in Capt. Kennedy's Co., Dobb's County, NC, July 26, 1777. (Refer to "Roster of soldiers from NC in Revolution by DAR," pg. 590") Another DAR listing has his birth at circ 1760. If this 1767 birth date is accurate, Nathan was 10 years old! This leads me to believe he was born earlier. Dobbs County Tax Lists, 1780 has a Nathan and a William Arrendale as land owners. Since it is before he married, and Nathan's son, William, was born 1801, I want to assume this William was a father or brother. Nathan moved to Franklin County, GA and is in Franklin Co. Deed Book LL, pg. 69b in 1797, married a GA girl, Susannah Fannin, abt 1790. They raised their family there.
