    3. The Craven County Genealogical Society is pleased to host Mr. Greg Morris of Vanceboro, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, for a special presentation, Remembering Zebulon “June” Tripp, Jr., World War II Serviceman, 1922-1944. Private Tripp, a native Vanceboro gentleman gave all for the cause of liberty. Mr. Morris notes that Private Tripp was captured in 1942 in the Philippines, survived the Bataan Death March, and was later killed on a Japanese hell ship “Arisan Maru” in 1944. He will give us insight into the life, service, and family of Private Tripp as we pause to remember and honor all those who have served the great United States of America. The program is free and the public is invited to join us on Tuesday, November 10, at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments followed by Mr. Greg Morris' presentation at 7 p.m. You are also welcome to bring an item, photograph, or story about one of your veteran family members to share with the group at the meeting.
