    3. Linda, am answering to the list because messed this up yesterday and trying to clean it up as I think out loud and type and clean up my database. Hi Martha, I don't have a son of Shadrack named Thomas. Would you mind sending me the information. ***Ima had a son Thomas listed in her notes but she did not say why she thought so but in her article in the Heritage Book she does not mention a son Thomas. Well, thought I had checked all the Thomas' in the database yesterday before I typed this obit up. Missed one, actually two, which means I wasted my time retyping. The only information she had for Thomas was bc1810 - 1820. The Thomas who married Sarah Reynolds was bc 1805 and according to the PRINTED 1850 Lenoir Census had the middle initial of H. One daughter, Elizabeth bc 1849. Sarah was bc 1820 which is consistent with her obit. THey also had a daughter Lucy Ann Fields who married George Mewborn Hardy. Lucy's obit confirms her parents. Don't know the names of the other two daughters but they should be on the Census, probably in Greene Co and I don't have the 1860 or 1870 Census. Now Jeremiah Fields had a son Thomas H. and I have him on the database with the middle initial of H. wife Sarah, and daughter Elizabeth. That has to be this Thomas - dates are right and proven by the Jeremiah Fields Bible. What I am going to do is eliminate Thomas as a son of Shadrack unless one pops up in the future and go back and straighten up the database to eliminate the duplication. Now if you are not confused think I am a little. Martha As you know my Thomas Fields, was born in the 1840s and married Louisa Hill. My Thomas was a grandson of Shadrack according to others research. I have not proven that fact, but have who proof as to who he married, when born, buried Maplewood Cemetery, Kinston, NC, and that his father was Richard Fields and Dovey Fields. I also have quite a few marriage certificates that he applied for in his family. Louisa Hill Fields died and was buried in TN in the late1800s. I think in Chattanooga where her daughter Nola Benton lived. This Thomas must have had another name and I have him listed that way probably. Thomas and Louisa have a granddaughter still living and she is 91 and her is pretty clear. She does not anything except what she was told since they died before she was born. I know he must have been born at Mosley Hall where all the others were born and later moved into Greene Co. I hope to get to begin researching again soon, but may be after first of the year. Since being sick since July I have not done anything. That is why I could not go to the PCFR Reunion I still had pneumonia. Thanks again for all your hard work. Linda Melvin
