Martha I am hoping you can help or know someone who can. I have been trying for years to find my father's sister. I think you already know that I descend from Jesse Hardy and Sarah Eliza Worley. Well my father's sister was adopted out when she was about 10 or 11 years of age. Their father Jesse Daniel Thompson had died and their mother Nancy Price could no longer take care of them. My father says that a Kennedy or Cannady family adopted them from Duplin co. All I know about her is: b Dec 19, 1916 in Lenoir co NC d Sep 23, 1949 in New York. She was married twice to McKnight and Pollock (I think). She had at least two children. My father went to her funeral but we have never been able to find the family. Is there anyway you can help?
