Hi Everyone, I am looking for information on, John Rous born Abt. 1650 married Margaret Maxwell in Barbados abt 1694 . Margaret may have been the daughter of Thomas Maxwell and wife Mary. Their daughter Elizabeth Rouse married Richard Estwick abt 1722. I am trying to find out if John and Margaret also had a son named John Rouse, and if so, if this John had a grandson named John Rouse born in Dobbs County, North Carolina. I am also trying to find information on my ggggrandmother Clarissa Rouse. Her parents were John Willis Rouse and Elizabeth Becton, of Craven and Lenoir Counties in North Carolina. Clarissa was married to my ggggrandfather George Walter Kornegay. I am interested in any information on Clarissa especially after 1850. In 1855 George Walter was in Florida married to a lady named Sophia Godwin. I think Clarissa was still alive at the time, but have no information on her, I have heard that she and her 4 children were on the1860 Craven County Census living with her mother.
