Hi Martha, Thank you for the info., I see so many similar names in these different branches of Rouse's, that I feel there must be a common connection somewhere. I have John Rouse III and Winifred Smith listed as the parents of John Willis Rouse. I am not sure if Clarissa was ever in Alabama, but if she did travel with George Walter when he left North Carolina . It is also possible that they were divorced in Alabama. So that makes things even more complicated. If we are talking about the same Barbara, she is my moms second cousin. Take care.
