    3. One of these days we have to get a group over to ECU to cull the Bible records of Bills that have not already been posted from other sources. We can't do it from the Books but sure can from his files. No to your question on Harriett. THere is a note that Thomas R. Emery met his future wife while studying medicine at UNC and then he practiced in Pittsboro and Chapel Hill before going to Kinston. He married 2nd Laura widow of Hardie Sutton - I can't figure out which Hardie. It does not give the parents of Thomas but said be was born 17 March 1836 in New Bern. Doc had a bunch of children but none named Harriett nor a son James. Their 2nd oldest child was named Mary Vail which indicates a possible with the Craven Co Vail family. THis Mary married Aleander J. Dawson of Lenoir Co. Well on the database I have this Thomas as the son of Thomas J. and Frances Mary Vail Emery. Dr. Thomas had no son THomas but his oldest son was Joseph Hill.
