Will written in 1829 and probated at the April 1831 Court in Lenoir County. He named his heirs as: my son David, my beloved wife Zilpha, my daughter Olivia Lofton, my grandson Joshua Nunn Lofton, my granddaughter Zilpha Ann Lofton, my daughter Alice Hargett, my grandson Peter Joshua Hargett, my granddaughter Olivia Hargett, my son John. Son in law Peter Hargett was named as executor of the estate I don't suppose anyone has a copy of this will or knows where there is a copy. All I have is an abstract. Zilpha was the daughter of David and Jemima Hardee and grandaughter of Col John Hardee of Pitt Co. The two sons David and John (Jack) had already moved to Tenn by the time their father died. I have no clue what happened to the two girls. Olivia married Giles Loftin. Alice married Peter Hargett. Son David married Alice/Elsie Koonce and John/Jack married Anna Beasley both wives of Jones County. Christine, note that John/Jack and Anna had a son Buckner Hardy Nunn. That name is sure popping up a lot lately. Martha
