Great news!! Beaufort County Deed Book 1 abstracts have been uploaded to Beaufort County and linked to various other counties. These abstracts were done by Ysobel Dupree Litchfield many years ago for the Major Reading Blount DAR Chapter. As most of you know, the earliest Craven County deeds in existence are found in this Book which means many of you can find your earliest ancestors from Craven in this book. Not many of them, but some. And of course, your early Pitt County ancestors are in this Book. Our thanks, not only to Ysobel, but to our own list members Carol, Brenda, Sloan and most especially Janice for re-typing this document which has taken several months.
