Guy has just posted the letter from a "Yankee" soldier to his aunt regarding the Civil War Battles of Kinston, Whitehall and Goldsboro. It is under Letters and entitled Foster's Goldsboro Expedition (1862) which is what ECU is calling it. I think it will be written about in the Sunday edition of the Free Press and if they can get a copy, another letter regarding the same battles from the "rebel" viewpoint. That letter is in private hands in Kinston.
