    2. Martha Marble
    3. Although these are Duplin and Cumberland Co they have Greene Co ties and descendants in both Greene and Lenoir William Hardison was born either in Hyde or Greene Co - we don't know for sure, but he lived in Greene until he moved with his mother, Lucretia Garris Hardison and his siblings to Duplin. We assume his father, James, may have died in Greene, but again that is not clear. William married Mary (Polly) Dail, daughter of Thomas and his wife, said to be Sarah Tripp - not proven. Thomas moved to Duplin from either Pitt or Greene. THere are a number of intermarriages between the Dails and Hardisons in Duplin. Mary's brother, Curtis had a daughter Margaret, who married her first cousin, Thomas Hardison, son of William and Mary (Polly) Dail Hardison. Thomas and Margaret moved to Wayne then Lenoir.
