This is a direct descendant of Shadrack and Mary Polly Fields, granddaughter of Jesse Fields, and daughter of Jay R. (or Jesse Rigdon) and Sallie Waters Fields. OBITUARY LENA RIVERS FIELDS LANGSTON Kinston- Mrs. Lena Rivers Fields Langston, age 90, of 2713 Cameron Langston Road died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at her residence. Mrs. Langston was a homemaker, a member of Sharon United Methodist Church where she was organist for sixty plus years, a member of the choir and the United Methodist Women, a member of Kinston Chapter #58 OES, a member of the Lenoir County Garden Club and the Lenoir County Historical Society and was a former member of the NC Milk Commission. She graduated from Contentnea School and attended Greensboro College. Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2001, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clint White officiating. Interment will be private. Mrs. Langston was predeceased by her parents, Jay R. and Sallie Fields, a sister, Minnie Louise; brothers, Hulbert, Frank and Jay R. Fields JR.; husband B. Cameron Langston; and a grandson, John Jay Langston JR. She is survived by two sons, John J. Langston and wife Brooks Ann of Grifton, NC, and B.C. Langston JR. and wife Wanda of Raleigh, NC; two daughters, Evelyn L. Phillips and husband Dave of Grifton, NC, and Sarah L. Jenkins and husband Bob of Shelby, NC; a sister, Nannie Fields Hall of Kinston, NC; grandchildren, David Phillips and wife Barbara, Susan L. McCollam and husband Jay, Tracey Langston, Gary Langston, Rob Jenkins and wife Laura, Amy Langston, Elizabeth Sturdevant, Jason Sturdevant, Seth Sturdevant and wife Jenny; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Garret and Gray Phillips, Jared, Kaitlyn and Brooke McCollam, Adrian Sturdevant and Toby Jenkins; special friends, B.J.
