Not really. Francis and Alexander Harper were on a deed together in Craven Co in 1743. One assumes at least Francis was of age. Legally Alexander should have been also. Alexander died between 1783 and 1785 according to records. William acquired a patent on behalf of the minor children of Alexander in 1785. The family was probably seated in Somerset Co, Md. Working on that angle. They were neighbors of the Tull family who went to Dobbs. Margaret is not on the 1790 census so either she was dead or living with someone. Don't know when she was born. There is also the question of whether Alexander had two wives - Margaret was proven to be the mother of those born between 1757 and 1775 but that would not include Francis and William. For the time being Francis and I are going with the assumption that she was the mother of all the children despite the rather wide number of years. Nothing gives us the surname of Margaret. We know the son Francis was a grandson of Alexander and Elizabeth Easley Kilpatrick. Alexander Kilpatrick moved from Henrico/Goochland Co, Va - who knows where he was born.
