Descendancy Narrative of William Hardee Pinkney can not be proven to be William's son but Francis and I think he was based on William being in his household in 1850. I am also inclined to think the Thomas on the 1840 and 1850 Census was a son of this William, but that Thomas is said to be the son of a John of Craven who moved to Georgia and then to Henry Co, Ala. I don't think so but without question this Thomas was in Henry Co, Ala by 1860. Major Hardee who moved to La, is also a guess - he was from "Dobbs" Co but his father is not proven. He does not appear to be a son of Major or Joseph which leaves Isaac and William. The Census supports William - sort of. I. William Hardee was born in 1780 at Dobbs County, North Carolina.
