Exploring Carolina Quaker Crossroads is a weeklong residential study program for adults that examines the Quakers who settled Piedmont, North Carolina. The old meetinghouse was used as a hospital. Emphasis will be on how the beliefs and practices of Friends helped to shape North Carolina. Activities include a dramatization of Levi Coffin, the President of the Underground Railroad, visits to the Mendenhall Plantation, a Quaker pottery at New Salem, the Cane Creek/Snow Camp historical area, stops at Springfield, Centre, New Garden and Cane Creek meetings; and the Springfield Museum of Early Domestic Life.
