Larry and folks, The only place I've seen the NC mortality census extracted and published are in a series of 13 volumes that cover NC counties for 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880. A few libraries have them, including the National Genealogical Society. I would offer to do a look-up, but the library has been relocated this winter from Arlington, VA, to St. Louis or some place. They are supposed to have the books catalogued and available again later in February, so you might be able to request an inter-library loan at that time. The original publisher, Sandra Lee Almasy, still sells them if you can't wait that long. See http://www.kensington-glen.com/ . However, I recently checked with her to get a copy of a volume I need, and she indicated several were out of stock until she has her new printer set up. Good luck in your research! - Jim Spencer
