    1. [NCLENOIR] boundary lines - Jones, Craven, Lenoir

    3. Well, might be making some progress on the boundary lines and know some of the rest of you are also confused on this subject. Some of my cousins have land in Lenoir Co on the Neuse Road that was inherited from the Simmons family of Jones Co. Never been able to understand exactly why that land was in Lenoir since the Simmons family was Craven then Jones. That land appears to be original Craven Simmons patent land. She has a deed from Jones Co deeding that land to her paternal side ca 1850. That land today is in Lenoir Co on the ES of Southwest Creek. That means there was another boundary change after 1850. She is sending me a copy of the deed and maybe some more in the Vause family in the same area. Without seeing the deed can only speculate so will advise the lists when I see it. The deed mentions Cabin Branch and I am not sure if that is the same thing as Indian Cabin Branch or not. Martha
