    1. [NCLENOIR] FAIRFAX Soldiers
    2. Fairfax, Dan
    3. Hello Norman, We have researched those folks ....{:). Private Elias Fairfax, 2nd Company "A", 36th Regiment, Artillery, CSA, Fort Fisher 1862 - 1865 [ listed in the 1850 Columbus County, NC Census as a separate family from Needham Fairfax], is my gggrandfather from Columbus County, NC. His father was Nedom/Needham Fairfax, 1850 Columbus County, NC Census. Needham Fairfax's father was Micajah Fairfax, 1800 Bladen County, NC Census who's wife was a unkwn JERNIGAN lady. We are looking for Micajah Fairfax's parents and therefore need the Roster Listings of the British Regiments that served England in America during the years of 1775 - 1782, to identify any FAIRFAX British soldiers as a pursuit of a "Family Story" that states a British FAIRFAX Soldier married an American Lady and that's where our Fairfax Line began in America ....{:)....and you know how them family stories go!? ...{:)....but it's the only specified lead I have at this time for our FAIRFAX Lineage earlier than Micajah FAIRFAX, 1800 Bladen County, NC Census. Horry County, SC ... Virginia .... and Maryland are our FAIRFAX, STRICKLAND, HINSON, ANDERSON, JERNIGAN, and HAYES related and relative to our research efforts ...{:). Any clues would be greatly appreciated! ...{:). Peter FAIRFAX, Dobbs County and Lenoir County, NC presence in the late 1700's. Sgt. Frederick Fairfax, 1st Continental Army, North Carolina Line, 1776. Privates Dormand and Herrenton FAIRFAX, 1st Continental Army, North Carolina Line, 1776 and their sons Daniel and John FAIRFAX in North Carolina, 1796 petition for their fathers' service. James Davis was a name mentioned in the petitions and he lived in Lenoir County, NC at the time of 1796. Wish us luck!? Are you looking for someone prior to those dates or afterwards? Norman
