Hello all, as most of us are aware, during the civil war 22 men were hung in Kinston NC. They were considered to be deserters of the CSA, having been captured in New Bern after joining Union Forces. The Historical Preservation Group, is proud to be able to sponser a book signing and discussion, with Gerard A. Patterson, the author of "Justice or Atrocity, General George E. Pickett and the Kinston, N.C. Hangings. Mr. Patterson is now working on a follow up article to the book and is interested in hearing from descendants of the condemned men.
