I think they charge $75, which is about what they charge for the US Indian Wars medal and ribbon set, for the Union Army and Union Navy medal and ribbon set, and for the various WWI medals & ribbons. (At last report there was one survivor of the Indian wars (served as a 9 year old drummer boy and must be ancient), none from the Spanish American War and a few thousand from WWI. Unlike the US (which gave the Medal of Honor and I think the Purple Heart), the Confederacy gave NO medals or awards. They rewarded men with promotions (and hence salary increases). Now, can you or anyone else tell me about the several battles in the WAAH in Pollocksville and at "Comfort Bridge"? The War Department journals indicate that there were battles there throughout the war (Jones County was "no mans land" which is as it should be between Union New Bern and Confederate Kin(g)ston. Just curious. Charles Wackerman Carthage, NC
