    3. Lonne, Agree with you both on the society project and down the road the pictures. I don't have a scanner at this point. The amount of money I have tied up in having old photos copied over the years - well just don't want to think about it but could have bought several scanners. Having those old pictures preserved away from your own personal computer would be a relief. My old tin types are actually Pitt and Greene County so will take them down next trip and let Eleanor scan them for the project. They are getting awfully faded and I keep them in the safety deposit box. Someone asked how a society could preserve the history of the area and this is a perfect way.
