    3. The URL for Old Dobbers is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~paday/dobbers/index.htm This site was started to house mostly family information that is not appropriate on either the GenWeb or the archives sites. It is not a place for primary information or queries except the Dobbs Queries. For the past year, we have been struggling with the problem of a webmaster. Guy took it over but he does not know HTML which is what that site uses. Tracy has been working hard to get some new items posted but she is pretty stretched, as is Guy. We have done a little housekeeping and will do more down the road. We have deleted all the primary information found on the various archives sites and links. The link to the Lenoir, Greene, and Dobbs Archives remains as does the Dobbs Query page. There was too much duplication and still is but we are working on it. All of the pictures for the Industrial Issue have been posted - many thanks to the scanners, and to Tracy and Guy for their hard work. We found one Collection that never made it to the Greene Archives - the Hooker Collection has now been posted on Greene and deleted from Old Dobbers. THe Reunions site is available to any of you who would like to post their Reunion information. We are aware there is one old one on it but Guy wanted to leave it just to have something on the site. Tis the time of year for family Reunions so send us your information. We need to update the Author's Corner - too many books not on it. ALso, we are changing the name on it slightly to include those people willing to do research and family websites in the area for pay. What is not working is the "What's New" and Tracy is working on it. Soon as it gets "fixed" we want to go back to the Common Surnames and start adding more. We will start with the surnames already posted and add additional researchers and then do additional surnames. Let's get the additional Common Surnames up to date and then we will tackle the new Family Research Projects section. There is a lot waiting in the wings. Tracy did an update last week and it took her over 10 hours so that is a really slow and time consuming section. Martha
