    3. We have been advised by Coastalnet that Jewel's account is being disabled until the computer is cleaned up. That should stop all of our attachments from her - soon as they get this done. Some of you locally in Kinston might need to see what you can find out about her because when I called yesterday the phone had been disconnected and Coastalnet said they have not been able to reach her either. They have given him permission to use the old newspapers. COuld use some typing help as don't know how many there will be and they will dribble in as he reads the old papers. Deborah is going to type up a bunch of Lenoir Court lists that I found recently - soon as I get them to her and hope to mail part of them tomorrow. Martha

    3. Hi All The woim has toined--I'm over the virus! Followed Steve Kent's helpful advice and downloaded newest Symantec anti virus-it found my "infected file" which was "The Walking Stick", accounts of everyday life in New Bern by Whitford. Most of you got an exerpt about a whiskey barrel. I can tell all is well because my harddrive was sticking and freezing and now is fine. And the file has been quarantined. 3. cough...cough...wheeze....wheeze.....yuck! So sorry all, it appears we have suffered from our first computer virus and it has managed to spread. Apparently it attached to our address book and you know the story from there. Since this was very unnerving for me, I have deleted all names from the email address book and will type in addresses from now on from a hand written list. Hopefully, this will prevent this from happening again, from us anyway. Again our apologies. We have corrected the situation. Ron, Susan and Andrew Hoffman

    1. [NCLENOIR] Redding Jones - Redding D. Nunn
    2. Martha Marble
    3. This comes under the head of "fishing". Redding D. Nunn and his 2nd wife - Zelota were my ancestors. I have no hard cold proof but assume his father was WIlliam bc 1775 and Margaret (surname unknown). Have a hunch Margaret could have been a Jones but never heard of the below Jones family. THe Jones family I had in mind was the Aretas Jones family but can't find a connection. William and Margaret had a daughter who married into this Aretas Jones family. The names Owen and Hull are not found in the Nunn family. Neither is Redding indicating the name was from his mother's side of the family. Is there a stray Margaret in this Redding Jones family? Don't who who Zelota Nunn was either but most likely from SS of the river. Redding was married 3 times. First was to ELizabeth Noble and they probably had at least one child. Thanks. 3. Completely forgot this until a few minutes ago. Was talking to Aileen Mewborn last weekend just to chat. She said she thinks that John Rouse I was married to a Mozingo. Now it was not clear to me if she was talking about John I or II. SOmething to do with a piece of land that one of the Mozingo's received probably as a patent, cleared the land and then John Rouse ended up with it - I assume without buying it. Does this ring a bell with any of you Mozingo researchers? Martha

    3. ****Just received this from Jane Pat Faulkner ask me to send you this e-mail asking that no one open any e-mail that is coming from her as she is sending none to anyone. It looks as if W32/Magistr@MM Virus has gotten into her computer. I received a strange e-mail from Pat last night. When I opened the attachment my virus scan stopped it. I called Pat to let her know. It scared her as she had sent no e-mail to anyone yesterday and she couldn't understand what had happened. After much talk we realized what had happened. Pat is going to try to get the problem corrected today. *** Now, I also received one from Pat and my McAfee did not stop it so I opened it and then this morning sent Pat a message because nothing was on it. It came into me as C:\ATTACHMENTS\NAV.gif" I ran an update from McAfee and then a scan on the pc and nothing showed up; however, I may have this virus. PLEASE, if you receive an attachment from me today, DO NOT OPEN IT and please advise me ASAP. What a mess. Martha
